Ever since I went to the Milwaukee Public Museum in 1977 I've wanted my own artificial, air conditioned jungle with ruins of an ancient stone temple. For a time I had a studio apartment. I bought about $200 worth (a huge amount) of artificial ficus branches, palm fronds, ivy etc from a fake plant parts wholesale discount outlet, made fake trees, and bushes, boarded up the windows with cardboard so it was pitch black at night but lit by only two 3 watt flicker bulbs. No temple or air conditioning, though (San Francisco needs no AC) Was it worth it? Yes! Live your dreams and who cares what people think.
