  • Everything began with good intentions, but it ended with a never ending nightmare.

  • I had been unemployed for six months, you see. The wife was stressed, the kids were hungry...I had no choice, really. So I accepted the temp job for the road crew. Hell was

  • other people, true enough, but Purgatory had to be road crew, & the ass-end of Purgatory definitely involved laying asphalt. We lost a guy a week - we were never sure if they quit

  • or if they slipped & became part of the road. Asphalted into oblivion. When I married an heiress, Asphalted Into Oblivion was the title of my autobiography. Petulla loved my rough

Great ending! I am trying to improve on my last folds as it is often hard to resolve a conflict when you aren't sure what the conflict is and have so few characters to conclude with. Perhaps I over think it. I just keep practicing.
