Wow, doesn't anybody still fold?

  • Wow, doesn't anybody still fold?

    7
  • Sally shouted from the laundry room. Sam was in the dining room playing poker with his buddies. He replied, "I never fold." Harry grabbed the pot saying, "That is why you lose."

    9
  • Sam slammed his fist on the poker table spilling some beer. "Sweetheart, don't bet the last of our paycheck!" Sally called. Harry dealt another hand and Sam upped the ante thinking

    7
  • "When will this woman stop cock-blocking my awesomeness." And then the river came and Sam had nothing. The last of their money was gone. He hated when she was right and

    6
  • he was left with nothing but a can of delicious sardines and a copy of Nintendo Power magazine. Sam dropped what he was holding and decided to give her a "cock block" of his own.

    9
  • Walking buy the Feminine Hygiene products he picked up a box of tampax regular tampons an moved up behind her "Excuse me hi Im Sam, you dropped these"

    8
  • She snatched the box from Sam's fingers and instantly replaced it with her phone number. Before Sam was able to respond she walked away to the fruit section and handled some melons

    8
  • Sam wondered to himself, "Is she hitting on me?" as he pocketed the phone number. At home, he dialed. "At the tone the time will be... Sam, I love you... 6:45."

    7
  • "Wow, so maybe there is such thing as love at first sight," he mused, happily picking at his mustache. He called her back at 6:47 and proposed. She said yes. They eloped to Vegas

    7
  • and lived happily ever after. "I love it when a plan comes together" he laughed with a stogie out the side of his mouth. Roll credits.

Sad that it didn't work between Sam & Sally. Apparently this mystery woman was his true soul mate.

Well hey you never know, maybe that was the story of how Sam met Sally and they fell in love!

I'd like to try sardines, but I have no idea what you do with them. I don't intend to eat them straight out of a can like in Noises Off.

    Try on toast

What about the bones? I can really mess up a fish trying to fork them out. I fail when it comes to foods that require such a high level of maintenance to eat. I don't mind anchovies except they're so salty. Actually, I could look this up like I should for my ramen recipes, but Spewgle leaves much to be desired and its results are reptitious and limited in quantity. Plus, once something's written down (esp. in a blog) it becomes rote, mechanical, impersonal. It lacks the vivid human touch knowing someone had to validly invest themselves into responding on the matter. There's no mutual two-way connection between reading a page someone wrote three years ago. That being said, I like to sprinkle onion bits onto pierogies when I pan-fry them. Other than that, I don't feel like I belong in the kitchen, despite wanting to cook more. Know what we need? Borscht. It sounds delicious. Mushroom ravioli in beet broth. Did this story have anything to do with food? This is a tangent, right?

Alton Brown has an excellent recipe for sardines on toast. The bones are edible. http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2010/01/alton-browns-diet-weight-loss-sardine-avocado-sandwiches.html

I just put 'em on crackers. Bones build character.

What do you do if you want to store the rest of them? Plastic wrap in the fridge? I wonder if they still sell that.

I've been to the local sardine festival...it was overcrowded.
