When the plastic bag was lifted, the brown

  • When the plastic bag was lifted, the brown thing revealed its liquid nature. It had flecks of white fuzz in it. Three flies were on top. Dead. Trapped like dinosaurs in a tar pit.

    4
  • Composing myself, I knew what I had to do. I took the brown thing in my quivering hands and wrapped it up in a towel, releasing it back into the wild.

    4
  • It was exactly the sound I needed for my symphony! Jotting it down, I ran straight to the orchestral studio as if I had just found the Golden Ticket. I slammed the sheet music onto

    4
  • the glass partition. "How do you like THEM apples?" Of course, I hadn't noticed that the studio was empty. I laid the score down gently turning to my new piece. Grabbing the banjo,

    5
  • I strummed the first two strings on top. I realized all my anger was finally coming to make such a beautiful music peice. The studio was echoing with the tune I was creating.

    4
  • "Laaaaady in redddddddd," I wailed uncontrollably. Waves of emotion crashed around the studio cracking the plaster. "Is dumdedum for meeeeeee!" Tears spouted, bricks shattered. I

    3
  • forgot the words, but it mattered naught. The raw emotion of my voice stopped everyone in the studio in their tracks, mouths agape, & I finished the song. The room came crashing down

    4
  • on top of the audience. A pillar fell, barely missing me, dust flew everywhere. I had but one thought in my head "self preservation". Desperately I made for the exit. Miraculously

    4
  • the pillar had cleared a gap in the otherwise solid wall. People were screaming and struggling over the seats to reach the gap, squeezing through to reach the lobby, when suddenly

    4
  • a calm atmosphere came over the crowd of people. The people left the building in an orderly manner queue ing to exit without crushing each other & nobody recalled why they panicked

So Lady in Red was inspired by a brown thing with dead flies on it.

  2. PurpleProf Apr 26 2013 @ 07:50

I for one wouldn't mind hearing "Lady in Red" on the banjo.

I couldn't find a banjo, but I found a clip of a man on a ukulele wearing huge pink flippers. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WE_fEBHVxWk

Lucielucie, I was very disappointed to find that my computer would not open the ukelele video, because if it's anything like Purple Prof's I am sorry to miss it. Purple Prof, your video is really something else. ♪♪ but I hahno-oh-oh-ho, witsbeautifwawatsiiiiiigh, i neverfageh wa wawayahlahchanigh ♪♪

The clip I posted is quite tuneful, but the singer is wearing mask, snorkel & fins which makes up for this some. If you put 'lady in red Hawaii ukulele' into Youtube search you should come up with the clip. x

Oh, I KNOW. I watched it at least 3-4 times, laughing all the way through... You all have no idea how therapeutic FS (and all the aftermath) is for me. LucieLucie, I couldn't view it either, but will do a search.
